Since the beginning of its activity, Wunderkammer S.A., founded in 2000, has developed a vested interest in Italian sculpture and painting dating back to the Middle Ages and Renaissance, without neglecting interesting works of the following centuries.

The efforts and the never ending research carried out by Wunderkammer S.A. led it to exhibit sculptures and paintings of historical and artistic value which are very often unknown.

A particular section of this site is dedicated to the works which have been rediscovered time after time. These works have been studied and then shown to the public during important exhibitions in which Wunderkammer S.A. took part.

The opinion and the cooperation of the most educated international scholars allow the gallery to show these works in the best way. The authenticity, the quality and the state of conservation of each object is systematically checked. This procedure is the rule that leads the gallery and that safeguards its public.

Wunderkammer S.A. is led by Mauro Prasedi, who has been working in this sector since 1982. Besides being a dealer, he is a true lover of art. Moved by his thirst of knowledge, he is longing to learn, to see, to understand and to be deeply moved by what human mind has created during the centuries.

Year after year he has created for the gallery a library with more than 8000 volumes. They are an essential support for the research and the comparative studies.
Since this never ending research requires much time, Wunderkammer S.A. shows its works by appointment only.
